SATURNIDAE is inspired by the the male Emperor Moth of the Saturniidae family (with two "i's")of the British Isles. Companion to our female Emperor Moth inspired MOON-FLIGHT, the male Emperor Moth flies only in daylight. They are much more colourful then the female with greyish purple and brown upper wings with "eye" markings and beautiful touches of pinks and raspberry tones. Their under wings are bright shades of orange to yellow. SATURNIDAE is our creative interpretation of this beautiful moth.

Characteristics: A soft and lofty yarn sourced from our local mill in Nundle. Good for those quick projects that require warmth for those wintery days. Soft against the skin.
Use: Great for sweaters or beanies or anything requiring a 10 or 12 ply aran or worsted weight yarn.
We do recommend all our quality yarns be hand washed by gently soaking, put in a bag and dry spin on medium then lay flat to dry in shade.
