Kalbarri is an Assigned Pooling yarn, the perfect blend of softness and strength inspired by the rugged coastline of Western Australia. One skein will give you a beanie or cowl 2 skeins a shawl.
If you would like to try a dk assigned pooling yarn Michele Bernstein on Ravelry has a few designs (cowls that convert into beanies are particularly useful to experiment with) designs specifically using dk. However you can convert any shawl using fingering assigned yarn to DK by using appropriate needle size and an extra skein.
