Characteristics: This is a woollen spun yarn with a lot of loft. It is soft and light even as a DK. It has brown undertones due to the possum fur content. Possum fur is a hollow fibre which makes it extremely warm but also very light weight compared to merino. At 238m to the 100g it would be classed as a light DK, however it has such volume that it can be used as an aran without the heaviness.                                                                                

Use: Great for sweaters, shawls, cowls, beanies requiring anything from an 8ply to a 10ply.It will give great stitch definition and being woollen spun, will be particularly good for colour work.

CARE: As this is a NON-SUPERWASH, completely natural yarn, HAND WASHING by soaking in a good wool wash is a must, unless you want your project to felt.

We do recommend all our quality yarns be hand washed by gently soaking, put in a bag and dry spin on medium then lay flat to dry in shade.
