WATER BABIES. Charles Kingsley wrote Water-babies: a Fairy Tale for a Land-baby back in 1862-63. 100 years before I was born (there's an age give away). I read the book several times as a child & it was a copy with original illustrations. It is a tale that has stuck with me through the years - nostalgia & whimsy. A palette of muted greens, blues, yellow-greens and purples that meld and move throughout the skein.
