Satsuma is named for the Japanese Plum often named a Blood -plum. Rich layered tones of reds with undertones of purple and gold and overtones of plum. Stone fruit are always associated with Christmas in my memories, for they were a rare treat found in our Christmas socks at the end of our beds early Christmas mornings.
